Capabilities

Dry storage with the handling and visibility around it.

Each program is quoted around its product, volume, timing, handling, reporting, and transportation needs.

01

Receiving and storage

Scheduled receiving and unloading, with floor/block stacking when the product and pallet configuration are suitable. Hawkeye does not use pallet racking.

02

Inventory visibility

Pallet tracking, plus sub-pallet item quantity tracking when needed. Inventory reports are available on request or on an agreed schedule.

03

Release and loading

Scheduled order release, pallet retrieval, and outbound loading, coordinated with your team and carrier.

04

Flexible operating support

Cross-dock handling when suitable, regional transportation, and structured customer access for approved low-volume pick-and-pack programs.

Who it fits

Built for both small requirements and serious seasonal volume.

We work with commercial customers that need straightforward storage without committing to their own warehouse operation.

  • Single-pallet and low-volume small-business storage
  • Seasonal agricultural and forestry programs
  • Packaged commercial products and palletized inventory
  • Overflow, buffer stock, and project-based storage
  • Flexible short-term, seasonal, and ongoing programs

Product approval matters. This is commercial warehousing, not household self-storage. Dangerous, hazardous, controlled, or regulated goods require prior review and approval.

Facilities

Multiple buildings, different clear heights, one practical operating team.

Our dry-storage buildings range from approximately 9-foot clear in older areas to substantially higher clear heights elsewhere, with dock-high and grade-level loading available across the operation.

How it works

A clear path from fit check to final release.

  1. 1

    Send the basics

Tell us the product, approximate pallet quantity, timing, and any special handling needs.

  2. 2

    Fit and capacity review

We review service fit, capacity, and operating requirements, with an initial response within one business day.

  3. 3

    Program quote

Storage is normally billed monthly. Handling, reporting, access, cross-docking, and transportation are quoted for the program.

  4. 4

    Receive and set up inventory

We schedule receiving, unload the shipment, and establish the agreed inventory records.

  5. 5

    Store, report, and access

Product is stored and tracked, with reporting and scheduled customer access handled as agreed.

  6. 6

    Release, load, or transport

We prepare approved releases for pickup or coordinate Hawkeye transportation. Suitable cross-dock programs can bypass storage.

1.5B+
Seasonal-program experience

More than 1.5 billion seedlings handled.

Large forestry programs have relied on Hawkeye for seasonal receiving, inventory control, storage, and coordinated releases. That operating discipline also benefits smaller programs: clear intake, accountable quantities, and planned outbound movement.

Transportation and cross-docking

Move product into storage—or through the building.

Hawkeye can provide dry or refrigerated tractor-trailer transportation for full and partial palletized loads. The Okanagan is our core service area, and other BC routes can be arranged in advance, including seasonal seedling loads.

Available by arrangement

  • Dry or refrigerated trailer
  • Full and partial palletized loads
  • Regional and prearranged BC routes
  • Cross-docking when product, timing, and facility fit align

We do not offer scheduled parcel, national LTL, or freight-brokerage services.

Frequently asked

What to know before you inquire.

What is the minimum storage volume?

We accept programs starting at one pallet, subject to product fit and available capacity.

Do you use pallet racking?

No. Our dry warehouses use floor and block stacking when the product and pallet configuration are suitable.

Can our team pick and pack its own orders?

For low-volume programs, customer-managed pick and pack can be arranged in a designated area where practical. Visits are scheduled, access is staff-controlled, and Hawkeye operates the forklifts and moves pallets.

Can you track quantities below the pallet level?

Yes. We provide pallet tracking and can track item quantities at the sub-pallet level when a program requires it. Reports can be provided on request or on an agreed schedule.

Do you provide transportation or cross-docking?

Yes. We can arrange regional dry or refrigerated tractor-trailer transportation for full and partial palletized loads, and cross-docking when the product, timing, and facility fit are suitable.

Do you store temperature-sensitive goods?

Dry warehousing is the focus of this page. For products requiring refrigerated storage, see our cold-storage service and tell us the required temperature range.
